Dorothy M (Stine) Mowrey

Dorothy M. Mowrey, 86, of Danville went to be with the Lord Thursday April 14, 2016 at Geisinger-Bloomsburg Health Care Center. She was born April 12, 1930 in Elysburg, a daughter of the late Fred and Eva (Zimmerman) Stine.

She attended school in Elysburg. Dorothy worked at Catawissa Shirt Factory retiring in 1962. Dorothy was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Grovania. She loved spending time with her family.

Dorothy is survived by two children; Cynthia L. Cleaver and husband Keith, and George A. Mowrey, all of Danville. As well as four grandchildren; Dakotah Cleaver, Sierra Cleaver, Cory Mowrey, and Reece Mowrey.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband George C. Mowrey who passed away September 14, 2004, sister Erma Adams, and four brothers; Clair, Fern, Jim, and Fred Stine.

Services will be Monday April 18, 2016 at 11:00 am at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 8 Country Line Drive, Danville, with Pastor Melody Sell officiating. Burial will follow at St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the church from 9:30 am till time of service.
