Edna P (Perkins) Gregorowicz

Edna P Gregorowicz, a resident of Catawissa, passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2023. She was born November 14, 1954 in Yokohama, Japan to Eldon Perkins and Michiko Kurosu Perkins.

She graduated Dickinson College in 1976 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. She worked as a secretary for Catawissa Bottling Company and a legal secretary for the law firm of Kreisher and Gregorowicz until she became disabled. Despite being unable to work she continued to provide for the daily needs of her family.

Edna is survived by her loving husband of forty- five years Michael Gregorowicz; three loving children: Annemarie Gregorowicz, Paul Gregorowicz, Michael Gregorowicz and a grandchild Christopher Beggs who she has helped raise since birth.

She is also survived by her mother and two brothers: Harry Perkins and John Perkins. Her father and a brother Keith Perkins predeceased her.

She enjoyed needle work and was an avid reader. However, Edna’s greatest passion was cooking for her family. She was always in the kitchen. With a simple taste of any dish she could describe what flavored it and then recreate it, if she liked it or re-invent it if she didn’t.  Edna could whip up a great tasting meal from the simplest of ingredients to the preparation of a holiday feast with ease. We will never again be able to eat or enjoy a meal without thinking of her.
