Kevin L Yoder

Kevin L. Yoder, of Catawissa, 58, passed away on Feb. 8, 2024, at home. He was born on May 17, 1965, in Berwick, the son of the late Harry and Patricia (Wolfe) Yoder. 

He graduated from Central Columbia High school Class of 1983. Kevin worked at Autoneum Automotive North America in Bloomsburg for nearly 40 years. Kevin was actively involved in the Workers United Local 1700 where he served as an officer in the local union and on the Mid-Atlantic Regional Board for many years. He was known for his skills in mentoring others. Kevin was a wonderful musician and in his younger years enjoyed playing locally with several bands including OffCast, Goodfoot, and the Last Chance Band.

Kevin took great pride in his garden and loved being with his family. He was a selfless and quiet man who cared deeply. Kevin was proud of his children and enjoyed coaching them and their friends in RCV baseball and softball. He was a coach for the Southern Columbia Area High School girls’ softball team. Kevin was an outdoorsman who enjoyed bear, rabbit, and deer hunting. He was an excellent fisherman and thoroughly enjoyed camping with his family. 

Kevin is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, the former Ginya Oden, and was a wonderful father to daughters: Emily M. Yoder of Lancaster, and Erin E. Yoder of Lancaster, and son, Ian O. Yoder of Lititz. Kevin is survived by his brothers: Phillip Yoder (wife, Cheryl) of Nescopeck, Rodney (wife, Sue) of Wapwallopen, and Torie Yoder (wife, Dana) of Spring Brook Township; and his sister, Tammy Yoder, of Berwick. Kevin was loved dearly by his mother-in-law, Janice Oden (Lupold); and the entire Oden family.

He is survived by many nieces and nephews, and many great- nieces and nephews. He loved his grand-dog, Larks. 

Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his brother, Rick Yoder. 

Family will receive friends Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2024, from 9 until 11 a.m. at the Allen R. Horne Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 193 McIntyre Road, Catawissa. Services will be at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at The Muncy Cemetery located at 204 E. Penn St., Muncy. Contributions in Kevin’s memory can be made to Valley Chemical Fire Company at 1223 Numidia Drive, Catawissa, PA 17820.
