Lorraine W (Woolford) Clossen

Lorraine W. Clossen, 92, of Catawissa passed away on Tuesday February 13, 2024 at GMC, Danville, surrounded by her children. She was born on August 5, 1931 in Virginia, a daughter of the late William Henry and Bessie Cornelia (Gentry) Woolford.

She attended school in Virginia. Lorraine loved to read, watch old western movies, and spend time with her family. Lorraine had a fiesty personality which will be truly missed.

Lorraine is survived by her husband Paul V. Clossen, seven children; Anthony S. Brown (Betty) of Berwick, Randall H. Brown of New Jersey, James S. “Steve” Brown (Jennifer) of Orangeville, Jay C. Clossen (Tammy) of Catawissa, Sharon O. Lynn (William) of Catawissa, Cornelia F. Adams (Robert) of Sunbury, Theresa L. Conlon (Raymond) of Orangeville, six step-children: Curt Clossen (Trish) of Avis, Craig Clossen of Mt. Carmel, Barbara Bensen of California, Beverly Napierski (Charles) of Catawissa, Bonnie Yeager of Aristes, Bette Arnold (Kerry) and Sunbury, 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 5 step-great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents as well as her first husband Arthur S. Brown, three brothers: Cecil, David, Berkley, two sisters; Mary, Peggy, two grandchildren Wesley and Brandon, and one step-granddaughter, Kathy Jean.

Services will be held Thursday, February 22, 2024, 11:00 am at Grace Bible Church, 209 McIntyre Road, Catawissa with Pastor Mike Wynn officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Family will receive friends from 10:00 am until time of service at the church.
