Daniel L Roeder

Daniel L. Roeder, 76, of Catawissa passed away Sunday November 25, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born August 22, 1942 in Bloomsburg, a son of the late Robert and Mae (Blass) Roeder.

He attended Roaring Creek Schools in Numidia, and then owned and operated trucks, starting truck driving at the age of 19. Dan enjoyed hunting, watching TV and spending time with his family and friends.

Daniel is survived by his wife the former Beverly Tyson, whom he married November 21, 1981 and recently celebrated 37 years of marriage, two sons; Marvin E. Honabach Jr. and significant other Victoria Cote of Wilburton, Corey A. Honabach and wife Donelle of Bloomsburg, and five grandchildren; Sarah and Lydia Honabach, Douglas Honabach, Samantha Niklas, and Carl Schroyer. As well as two brothers Gary Roeder and wife Donna of Elysburg, Kenneth Roeder who also co-cared for Daniel of Catawissa, two sisters; Barbara Whitenight and husband Thomas of Catawissa, Sandra Mowery and husband Roger of Catawissa, and sister-in-law Phyllis Roeder of Bloomsburg.

Daniel was preceded in death by his parents as well as three brothers; Ronald, Robert, and David Roeder.

Services will be Thursday November 29, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Allen R. Horne Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 193 McIntyre Road, Catawissa with Pastor Daniel Belles of Pine Street Baptist Church of Berwick officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery, Numidia. Family will receive friends from 10:00 am until time of service at the funeral home.
