James Fedder Obituary

James A. Fedder, 88, of Catawissa, went to be with the Lord Monday September 16, 2019, at the Gardens of Orangeville. He was born February 6, 1931 in Catawissa, a son of the late John and Savilla (Krum) Fedder.

He attended Catawissa High School, and then served in the United States Army from 1948-1951 where he received two Purple Hearts and two Bronze Stars and then the United States Air Force from February 1952 until his honorable discharge on February 28, 1969. He then worked as a custodian at the Bloomsburg Post Office. James enjoyed wood working with his wife, tinkering around, feeding squirrels, walking dogs, riding his bicycle, and loving all of his grandchildren.

James is survived by three children; Michael J. Fedder of Jerseytown, Stephanie Trometter and husband James of Catawissa, Megan Reed and husband Michael of Windsor, NY, 11 grandchildren; Peter, Eric, Katie, Crystal, Jamie, Sarah, Auston, Landon, Cameron, Ethan, Haylee, and 11 great-grandchildren.

James was preceded in death by his parents, his wife the former Patricia Ulbinsky, son Mark J. fedder, as well as six brothers; John, Robert, Albert, Harold, Lawrence, and Leroy Fedder, and three sisters; Elizabeth Breech, Viola Lewis, Daisy Thomas.

Services will be Thursday September 19, 2019 at 11:00 am at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 23 Ringtown Mountain Road, Catawissa with Pastor Gordon Smith officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 10:00 am until time of service at the church.

In honor of James’ dedication to his Lord and his Country, all are asked to wear the colors of our country, red, white, and blue.
