Andrew David Shoup

Andrew David Shoup, 23 of Catawissa, was taken too soon on Sunday April 30, 2023. He was born February 2, 2000 to Wayne Shoup, Elysburg, and the late Georgette Williams (Surzinski), from Marion Heights. He graduated from Southern Columbia High School in 2019 and began working as a carpenter and a truck driver. Andrew was an avid hunter and fisher who loved everything to do with the outdoors.

He also enjoyed woodworking. Andrew had such a kind heart, he was always willing to lend a hand and took enjoyment in teaching others about his hobbies. He will be remembered for his ability to make everyone laugh and his unwavering love for his family and friends.

Andrew is preceded in death by his mother, his maternal grandparents, Joseph and Dorothy Surzinski of Marion Heights, his paternal grandfather David Shoup of Catawissa, and his uncles Joseph Surzinski of Georgia, and John Surzinski of Shamokin.

Andrew is survived by his father Wayne, his bonus father Raymond Williams, Elysburg, his sisters Dorothy Shoup, Minersville, Rebecca Shoup, Bloomsburg, and Molly Shoup, Massachusetts, his paternal grandmother Shelvia Rhodes, Elysburg, his uncle Rodney Shoup, Selinsgrove, and numerous cousins.

Family will receive friends Thursday May 4, 2023 from 5:00 pm until 6:00 pm at the Allen R. Horne Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 193 McIntyre Road, Catawissa.
