Anna M. Horn, 79, of Catawissa, passed away Saturday, Feb. 1, 2020, at her residence, surrounded by her family. She was born June 26, 1940, in Locust Township, a daughter of the late Lear J. and Emma (Rhodes) Penman.
She graduated from Locust Township High School. Anna worked at Catawese Coach Bus Company as a tour consultant from 1979 until retiring in the 2000s. She also worked at Knoebels for 40 years in the catering department. She was a member of Mill Grove UCC, where she was the treasurer for 35 years, and VP of the Valley C.B. Club. She loved gardening, cooking, doing puzzles, sewing, being with her grandchildren, and spending time with her family.
Anna is survived by three children: Jim Horn, Deb Horn, and Wendy Pratt and companion, Harry Rhone Jr., all of Catawissa; two grandchildren: Janelle Neidig and husband, Bradley, Mason Rhone; and great-grandson, Wyatt Neidig.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her husband, James S. Horn, who passed away June 26, 1993; and brother, Bill Penman, in 1981.
Services will be Friday, Feb. 7, 2020, at 10 a.m. at the Allen R. Horne Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 193 McIntyre Road, Catawissa, with Pastor Dwayne Nichols officiating. Burial will follow at Mill Grove Cemetery. Family will receive friends Thursday, Feb. 6, 2020, from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
