Anne L. Gunther 78, of Danville, and formally of Catawissa, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Grandview Health Homes Inc., Danville.
Anne was born July 2, 1936, in Philadelphia Pa., a daughter of the late Jack and Bonnie (Overmyer) Cathers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Raymond T. Gunther, two brothers, Fred and Hugh Cathers, three sisters, Vera Hesser, Mary Welsh and Bonnie Gillespie.
She was a graduate of Frankford High School in Philadelphia, a member of Catawissa Boro Council for over 6 yrs., in the late 1970 till early 1980. Anne worked for Allied Apts., Ass. Insurance Management and Letterman’s Bakery all of Catawissa. She enjoyed Flowers and Birds. Also her dog “Lucky”.
Anne is survived by two sons, R. Todd Gunther and his wife Anne Marie of Norristown and Donald Gunther and his wife Marlene of Danville. Three grandchildren, David, Danny and Sarah Gunther, one great grandson Lukas Martin. Four step- grandchildren, Jenny Summers, Jeremiah Shepperson, Kimberly Baar and S.Sgt. Shane Shepperson and 13 step- grandchildren. A sister Lia Gramlich of NJ.
Services will be Saturday March 28, 2015, at 4:00 pm from The Bloomsburg Christian Church 107 Deussen Dr. Bloomsburg Pa. 17815, with Rev. Eric Miller officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at Odd Fellows Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory to Animal Resource Center at 301A Boone Rd. Bloomsburg Pa. 17815.
