Barry Lee Kremser 66, of Catawissa, passed away April 25, 2015 at his residence. He was born July 7, 1948 at the Bloomsburg Hospital, the son of the late Lloyd Edward and Mabel Marqueen (Ernest) Kremser.

He graduated from Southern Columbia High School in 1967, and then enrolled in the Army from 1969-1971. He graduated from the Radiological Technologist Diploma Program. He worked at various hospitals in Virginia and Pennsylvania before starting to work at Geisinger Medical Center as a Radiological Technologist Specializing in MRI and Angiography.

Barry was a member of RCV United Methodist Church, as well as president of St. Paul’s United Bretheren In Christ Cemetery Association for 8 years. He was also a member of the Catawissa American Legion. He enjoyed farming, gardening, wood working, hunting, spoonerism, cooking, baking, picking blueberries, canning, watching John Hagee, and playing the steel guitar with family and different bands in his earlier years. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. His favorite color was John Deere green.

He is survived by his wife Melody Kaye Yocum, with whom he’s been married to for 45 years. Also, two children Toby Kremser and his wife Jennifer, and Amy Yemzow and her husband Marc all of Catawissa. Four grandchildren: Jensen and Kristin Kremser, Eli and Micah Yemzow, and one foster granddaughter. Two brothers Lloyd Kremser Jr. and wife Leta, and Dean Kremser, and a sister Sharon Fortin and husband Joe all of Catawissa.

Services will be Wednesday April 29, 2015 at 10:00 am at RCV United Methodist Church, 6 Orchard Drive, Catawissa with Pastor Chadrick Carter officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul’s United Bretheren In Christ Cemetery, 8 Esther Furnace Road, Catawissa. Friends may call Tuesday April 28, 2015 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Allen R. Horne Funeral Home, 193 McIntyre Road Catawissa. Friends unable to attend may send condolences to allenrhornefuneralhome.com. Allen R. Horne Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
