Carl H. Raker

Carl H. Raker, 87, of Numidia passed away November 7, 2017 at his residence. He was born July 1, 1930 in Bloomsburg, a son of the late Heber P. and H. Priscilla (Fetterman) Raker.
He graduated from Locust Township High School and then joined the United States Navy. He worked in the Garment Industry. Carl was a member of the Catawissa Boat Club. He enjoyed blue grass music and was always looking for an adventure. In his younger years he enjoyed hiking and camping.
Carl is survived by his two daughters Colleen Breech and husband Gregory of Catawissa, Carla Winnerling and husband David of Lancaster, four grandchildren; Zachary and Benjamin Winnerling, Kyle and Sarah Breech, and five great-grandchildren; McKenzie, Halle, Indica, Chance, and Aliandria, as well as two sisters Faye Gordner husband Dale of Millville, and Lynne Raker of Numidia.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents as well as his wife the former Mary Lorraine Brennan, who passed away March 9, 2009, three sons; David, Brian, and Wayne Raker, and sister GeorgeAnn Raker.
A memorial gathering will be held November 12, 2017 from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Ponduce Farm Banquet Hall, 270 White Church Rd, Elysburg, PA 17824. Family and friends may send online condolences to allenrhornefuneralhome.com.
