Carol A (Curtin) Yacko

Carol A. Yacko, 53, of South Williamsport, passed away Friday October 16, 2020 at Gatehouse Home Care and Hospice at Divine Providence Hospital in Williamsport. She was born June 20, 1967 in Levittown, Pa, a daughter of Edward and Helen (Samsel) Curtin of Shickshinny.

She was a graduate of Galeton High School, Rockland Community College, Suny College, and St. Scholastica College in Duluth, Min., where she received her bachelor’s degree and master’s degree. She worked at UPMC at Divine Providence Hospital as Director in Medical Records Department, as well as Devine Hospital, Muncy Hospital, Lock Haven Hospital, UPMC Wellsboro Hospital, and UPMC Cole in Coudersport.

Carol is survived by her parents, as well as her husband Stuart Yacko, whom she married on September 21, 1996, stepdaughter Tonya Yacko, Nanticoke, three grandchildren; Camden, Jocelyn, and Takara, two brothers; Stephen Curtin and wife Lisa, and Robert Curtin and wife Patricia, both of Nanticoke, and sister Helene Putman and husband Wayne of Wellsboro.
