Dale Kreisher, longtime farmer, friend, son, passed away peacefully at his home in Cleveland Township Friday evening, March 12, 2021. He was born Nov. 28, 1949, to proud parents, the late Allen and Nettia Kreisher.
He was a 1968 graduate of Southern Columbia High School. Dale resided at his childhood home until his passing.
Dale served in the United States Army Reserves for six years before being honorably discharged. He retired from Leisenring Lumber in Bear Gap, but his biggest compassion in life was farming. When on his tractor, he was on cloud nine. He always had the biggest smile to greet one. Dale was never one to complain about himself to others; one of his favorite remarks after hearing one’s own story was always, “Oh Jesus.”
Dale lived a very simple life with few complaints; his big smile, maybe that’s a good legacy to leave behind for all (slow down and enjoy the simple things of life.)
Dale will be sadly missed driving out the country roads on his tractor with that big grin, or reading his newspaper in his truck, giving you that big happy wave as you drive by. There are not enough words to describe a big simple man such as Dale.
May he rest in peace with his loving parents. Our memories will carry him on. Dale will be sadly missed by all his friends, whom he touched over the years.
Graveside services will be Saturday, March 20, 2021, at 1 p.m. at Esther Furnace Cemetery with Pastor Adam Miller officiating. Family and friends may send online condolences to allenrhornefuneralhome.com.
The Allen R. Horne Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 193 McIntyre Road, Catawissa, is handling arrangements.
