David Eugene Reeder, 65, of Catawissa passed away June 30, 2017 at Geisinger Medical Center. He was born February 14, 1952 in Bloomsburg, a son of the late William and Arlene (English) Reeder.
He graduated from Columbia-Montour Area Vocational-Technical School. David was a social member of the Catawissa VFW, and NRA. He loved playing cards, he was an avid coin collector, liked hunting and fishing, and enjoyed spending time with his family.
David is survived by his wife the former Carmen DeJesus whom he married March 30, 2017, five children; Elizabeth Reeder of Florida, JennyLynn Reeder wife Wendi Downs of Florida, Carey McElwee fiancé Jason Musselman of Muncy, Kevin D. Reeder wife Heather of Florida, Michael W. Reeder fiancé Jamila Rojas of Catawissa, step-son Omar Rojas of Danville, and 11 grandchildren. As well as brother William Reeder and companion Donna of South Dakota, two sisters: Joyce Shaffer husband Scott of Virginia, Ruth Adams husband Marcus of Pennsylvania.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday July 5, 2017 at 7:00 pm at the Allen R. Horne Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 193 McIntyre Road, Catawissa. Family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until time of service. Family and friends may send online condolences to allenrhornefuneralhome.com.
