David R Shields

David R. Shields, 77 of Catawissa passed away on Friday April 28, 2023, at his residence. He was born November 20, 1945, in Shamokin, a son of the late Albert J. and Naomi (Boyd) Shields.

He graduated from Shamokin High School and joined the United States Army during the Vietnam War. (What did he enjoy)

David is survived by his wife the former Susan Hendricks, whom he married September 10, 2008, sister Bea Snyder husband Bruce of Shamokin, and several nieces and nephews.

David was preceded in death by his parents as well as his sister Ruth and brothers Jim and Ronald.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday June 4, 2023, at 1:00 pm at Cara Park, S 4th St., Catawissa with Pastor Charles Swank officiating.
