Dawn L Adams

Dawn L. Adams, 90, of Elysburg, passed away Sunday, Aug. 29, 2021, at Grandview Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born Oct. 26, 1930, in Catawissa, a daughter of the late Samuel and Lucille (Fink) Garthwaite.

She graduated from Catawissa High School and worked at various sewing factories in Catawissa for 40 years. Dawn was always very social and enjoyed sitting on her front porch with all the neighbors. She was known as Grandma Dawn to all neighborhood kids.

Preceding her in death were her parents as well as her husband, James (Sade) Adams; and sister, Thelma Waskie. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Dawn is survived by her niece, Linda Mausteller, and husband, Bill Wegrzynowicz; nephew, Steven Adams; great-niece, Kelly Mascaro; great-nephew Gary Mausteller; great-great-nephew, Gary Mausteller; great-great-nieces: Heather Richard, Stephanie Camp; five great-great-great nieces and nephews in Fairbanks, Alaska; and her favorite neighbors, Hunter and Mark Shoup.

Graveside services will be Saturday September 25, 2021 at 10:30 am at Hillside Cemetery.
