Doris J (Small) Tomashefski

Doris J. Tomashefski, 92, of Espy, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2022, at her daughter’s home in Berwick. She was born Oct. 26, 1929, in Cleveland Township, a daughter of the late Victor and Ora (Thomas) Small.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Max Tomashefski; son, Leroy Yocum; and five sisters: her twin, Dolores Reese, Leona Hampton, Grace Klees, Zae Hass, and Fae Francis.

She was a member of the Esther Furnace Church where she sang in the church choir. Doris graduated in 1947, from Locust Township High School. She worked throughout her life in a sewing factory. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, home repairs, and playing the piano. She loved her pets and spending time with family.

Doris is survived by three daughters: Cynthia Mundorff, husband, Jeff, of Ephrata, Belinda Brosious of Berwick, and Melinda Tomashefski of Espy; as well as five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
