Edna C (Ernest) Shultz

                Edna C. Shultz, 101, of Bloomsburg, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Geisinger Bloomsburg Health Care Center.

                She was born July 21, 1914 in Catawissa Township, a daughter of the late John and Lottie Gotshall Ernest.

                Edna is a member of the Roaring Creek Valley United Methodist Church. She enjoyed; traveling, horseback riding, gardening and her flowers.  She was a member of the Eagles Bowling Team. She and her husband built their own home in 1948 on Grovania Drive.

                In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Merrill Shultz who passed away in 1988. Also preceding her in death were two brothers Walter and Howard Ernest and two sisters Hazel Rhodes and Mary Morrow.

                Edna is survived by two brothers Marion “Jim” Ernest of Catawissa and Carl Ernest and his wife Mary Anna of Berwick and three sisters Irene Moser of Bloomsburg, Thelma Williams of Scotch Valley and Pearl Bickert of Bloomsburg and numerous nieces and nephews.

                Services will be Saturday at 2:00pm at Allen R. Horne Funeral Home and Cremation Services 193 McIntyre Rd. Catawissa, Pa 17820 with Pastor Adam W. Miller of Roaring Creek Valley United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be at Roaring Creek Valley United Methodist Cemetery (Mount Zion Cemetery). The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00pm until the time of service.  In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Roaring Creek Valley United Methodist Church 6 Orchard Dr. Catawissa, Pa 17820.
