Eleanor E. (Mowery) Fahringer

Eleanor E. Fahringer, 88, of Danville passed away December 17, 2017 at Emmanuel Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born April 8, 1929 in Cleveland Township, a daughter of the late John and Laura (Dimmick) Mowery.
She attended Central School in Cleveland Township. Eleanor retired from PNC Bank where she was a bank teller. She enjoyed square dancing, quilting, sewing, traveling, and most of all enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a former member of Fisherdale United Methodist Church. She was also a member of Bloomsburg Eastern Star #279, The Roaring Creek Valley Grange where she held offices, and a charter member of the Valley Chemical Fire Company Auxiliary.
Eleanor is survived by three sons; C. Dennis Fahringer and wife Marsha of Catawissa, Clay Fahringer and wife Betsy of Danville, and Michael Fahringer and wife Denise of Elliottsburg, six grandchildren; Matthew, Jeremy, Alan, Maria, Katelyn, and Andria, two great-grandchildren Madeline and Ava, sister Ruth Rarig of Danville, and several nieces and nephews.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents as well as her husband Charles W. Fahringer who passed away April 30, 2011, son Brad W. Fahringer, five sisters; Kathryn Mowery, Mary Carl, Effie Lindenmuth, Erma Miller, Geraldine Seidel, and four brothers; Adam, Kenneth, Carl, and John Mowery.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Numidia Valley Bible Fellowship formerly known as Red Brick Church, 42 Ringtown Mountain Rd, Catawissa, PA 17820 with Pastor Ronald French officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at Elan Memorial Park. Family will receive friends Wednesday December 20, 2017 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Allen R. Horne Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 193 McIntyre Road, Catawissa.  The Bloomsburg Eastern Star Lodge # 279 will do services at 7:00 pm.
