Ellen J. Brady, 75, of Paxinos went to be with the Lord Monday February 20, 2017 at Emmanuel Center, Danville. She was born June 2, 1941 in New Jersey, a daughter of the late John and Janet (Arthur) Simons.
She graduated from Saint Cecilia’s High School, New Jersey. Ellen worked as a mortgage officer. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and joyfully making Christmas stockings for family and friends. She loved going on vacation with her brother and sister.
Ellen is survived by her husband William A. Brady Jr., whom she married June 2, 1962, three children; Laura Snyder and husband Mike of Milton, James Brady and companion Karen Brown of Danville, and Karen Blue and husband Troy of Danville, and grandson Tyler James Blue. As well as brother Robert J. Simons and wife Maria of Bloomfield, New Jersey, ex son-in-law Scott McGonnell of Danville, and many nieces and nephews.
Ellen was preceded in death by her parents as well as her brother Joseph Simons, and sister Gail Trelease.
Services will be Friday February 24, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Allen R. Horne Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 193 McIntyre Road, Catawissa with Pastor Michelle Beissel officiating. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery, Elysburg. Family will receive friends February 24, 2017 from 10:00 am until time of services.
