Emily Ann (Feese) DeWald

Emily Ann DeWald, 83, of Catawissa passed away on Friday September 13, 2024, at her residence. She was born March 26, 1941, in Bloomsburg, a daughter of the late Marion and Helen (Frantz) Feese.

She graduated from Catawissa High School and then opened her own accounting business Emily Ann DeWald accounting. Emily was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Espy, PA Society of Enrolled Agents, National Society of Enrolled Agents, Women of the E.L.C.A., both local and synodical levels, Girl Scouts of America, PA Society of Public Accountants, and PA Professional Women’s Club. Emily was so proud of marrying her husband Richard DeWald, whom she married July 16, 1971, and adopting her three children.

Emily is survived by three children; Susan DeWald, John DeWald wife Lynn, Bonnie Sutton, four grandchildren; Austin wife Elizabeth, Keira, Seth, and Cameron, and two step-grandchildren; Embrii and Callum.

Emily was preceded in death by her parents as well as her husband Richard E. DeWald, who passed away on October 24, 2023, son-in-law Jeffrey R. “Jeff” Sutton, and brother Fred M. Feese.

Services will be at the convenience of the family.
