Erma M. Miller 94, of Numidia, went to be with the Lord, Thursday April 21, 2016 at SHC of Bloomsburg Rehab & Wellness.
Erma was born September 23, 1921, a daughter of the late John W. and Laura (Dimmick) Mowery.
Erma was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Numidia, were she also taught Sunday School, a member W.E.L.C.A. and Charter member of the Valley Chemical Fire Co. Auxiliary. A member of the Roaring Creek Valley Grange, Southside Home Makers and Volunteered at Danville State Hospital for over 20 years. Also served on the Election Board for many years
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Fredrick W. Miller who passed on July of 2001, three brothers Adam, Carl (Barney) and Kenneth Mowery and four sisters, Effie Lindemuth, Geraldine (Gerry) Seidel, Mary Carl and Kathryn Mowery.
She is survived by three sons, Ronald Miller and wife Helen of Bloomsburg, Richard Miller and his wife Lynne of Numidia, Jere Miller and his wife Kitty of Ocala Florida and a daughter Laurie Getty and her husband David of Bloomsburg, eleven grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren, a brother John W. Mowery and his wife Judy of Catawissa, two sisters, Ruth Rarig and Eleanor Fahringer of Danville.
Services will be Monday, April 25, 2016 at 11:00 am, from St Paul’s Lutheran Church 27 A Ringtown Mountain Rd Numidia, with her Pastor Gordon Smith officiating. Burial will follow at St Paul’s Cemetery, friends may call from 10:00 am till time of service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory can be made to the Church Memorial Fund 27 Ringtown Mt. Rd. Numidia Pa. 17858.
