Faye A. Blass 93, of Danville and formally of Catawissa, went to be with the Lord, Monday February 21, 2022, at Emmanuel Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation.
She was born July 31, 1928, in Lightstreet, a daughter of the late Frank and Victoria (Sitler) Howell. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two husbands, Clair Levan in 1954, and Mervin J. Blass in August 4, 1998. As well as brother Frank Howell and two sisters, Della Mae Gardner and Winifred Smull.
Faye worked for the Regal Shirt Co. and was the Register for Vital Records. She was a member of St Paul’s Lutheran Church, Roaring Creek Grange, the secretary for Valley Flower Club, V.F.W. post 8306 auxiliary, Valley Fire Co. auxiliary, and a 4-H leader.
Faye is survived by her four children, Wayne Levan and his companion Cheryl Blass of Elysburg, William Blass and his wife Carla of Catawissa, Linda Hendricks and her husband Dale of Catawissa, and Brenda Valencik and her husband John of Bloomsburg, three grandchildren, Tracy Bickert, Mike Levan, and Kiley Blass, three great grandchildren, Dylan Levan, Kaylee Bickert, and Emilee Bickert.
Services will be Friday February 25, 2022, at 2:00 pm at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 27 Ringtown Mountain Rd. Catawissa Pa. 17820, with her Pastor Gordon Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Mill Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the Church from 1:00 pm till time of service. Faye’s wishes would be for everyone to dress casual.
