Frank “Chick” Silver Jr.

Frank “Chick” Silver Jr., 95, of Catawissa passed away on February 3, 2025 at Geisinger Bloomsburg Hospital.

Chick married the love of his life, Hilda Warner, on Valentine’s Day in 1953.

Chick is survived by his wife, Hilda, two daughters: Janet (Mike), Peggy (Joe), son Bob (Shelley), and seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Chick served in the United States Navy on the USS Roanoke for four years. He worked at Catawissa Lumber and Specialty Company for 29 years before retiring. He spent the last two and a half years of his life at Sunset Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Home.

A Celebration of his life will be held on February 15, 2025 at 1:00 pm at the First United Methodist Church, 228 South St., Catawissa with Pastor Susan Knorr officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Family will receive friends at the church from noon until time of service.
