G. Ernest "Ernie" Breisch

G. Ernest “Ernie” Breisch, 88, of Bloomsburg passed away Monday August 26, 2019 at his residence. He was born October 27, 1930 in Main Township, a son of the late Ralph E. and Bertha (Ely) Breisch.

He graduated from Mifflinville High School class of 1948 and then worked on the family farm alongside his father during the 1950’s. After farming with his Dad he hauled coal for years, and then purchased the coal route and continued delivering. During the 60’s he built his Service Station in South Center Township where he sold coal, fuel, used trucks, and had his own auto service. In 1978 he sold the Service Station and then built his own garage on the family farm and continued selling truck parts, rebuilt trucks, and installed dump trucks. Ernie enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Ernie is survived by his wife the former Pauline George, whom he married June 20, 1953, three children; Gary Ernest Breisch wife Brenda of Bloomsburg, Rodney Paul Breisch of Bloomsburg, Darla Ann Stutzcage husband Edward of Ashland, four grandchildren; James, Edward, Tracy, Jeffery, three great-grandchildren; Rebekka, Zach, Nick, and sister Janet E. Kemmerer.

Ernie was preceded in death by his daughter Cindy D. Breisch, who passed away August 2, 1969, grandson Jeremy Breisch, sister Jean I. Yank, and brother Carl O. Breisch.

Services will be at the convenience of the family at Elan Memorial Park with Pastor Robert Hettinger officiating. Family and friends may send online condolences to allenrhornefuneralhome.com.
