Gene R Raup

Gene R. Raup 92, of Elysburg, went to be with the Lord, Thursday November 25, 2021, at his residence.

Gene was born, February 28, 1929, in Bloomsburg, a son of the late, Harry and L. Gertrude (George) Raup. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary E. (Kraus) Raup , whom he married on, May 23, 1953.

He was a graduate of Bloomsburg High School Class of 1947, and joined the Army in 1950 serving overseas during the Korean Conflict, where he received several Military awards, one being a Bronze Star. He became an electrician for Local 607 IBEW, retiring in 1991. Gene was a life member of the N.R.A.

Gene is survived by his son, William R. Raup of Elysburg, daughter Debra Grayson of Port St. Lucie Fl., four grandchildren; Christopher S. Grayson, Sherry, Michael and Katrina Raup, and three great-grandchildren Brenna, Brantley, and Bayleigh Grayson.

Services will be December 2, 2021 at 10:30am, from the Allen R. Horne Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 193 McIntyre Road, Catawissa Pa. 17820, Burial will follow at Elan Memorial Park Cemetery Bloomsburg. Family and friends wishing to send online condolences may go to allenrhornefuneralhome.com.
