Grace E. (Rubenstein) Lutz

Grace E. Lutz, 94, formerly of Catawissa Pa; went to be with the Lord, Saturday June 17, 2017 at the Emmanuel Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation, Danville.
Grace was born October 6, 1922, in Bloomsburg, a daughter of the late Frank O. and Mary (Hoss) Rubenstein.
She was a graduate of Bloomsburg High School. Grace worked at many places, in 1958 she started at Milco Industries Inc. in Bloomsburg, as a sewing machine operator, then she worked at Central Penn in Catawissa Pa; this later became Mar-Jay and worked for them as a sewing machine operator till her retirement in 1989.
She was a member of St. Columba Catholic Church, were she was in the Women’s Guild. Grace enjoyed Knitting, reading, growing African Violets and making pierogies. She loved spending time with friends and family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William E. Lutz who passed away on September 2, 2007, sister Belle Levan, brother George Rubenstein, and daughter-in-law Judy Lutz.
Grace is survived by a daughter Mary Kathryn Dugan and her husband Bernard of Allentown, son William F. Lutz of Bloomsburg, four grandchildren; Kelly Glaser, B.J. Dugan, Kevin Dugan and Kyle Lutz, three great grandchildren, Reese and Brynn Dugan and Danielle Glaser, and brother Charles Rubenstein and his wife Thelma of Orangeville.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday June 23, 2017 at 11:00 am St. Columba Catholic Church, 342 Iron St. Bloomsburg Pa; with Monsignor Robert E. Lawrence officiating. Burial will be at New Rosemont Cemetery at a later date at the convenience of the family. Friends may call from 10:00 am until time of service at the church.
In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or Emmanuel Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, 600 School House Road, Danville, PA 17821.
