Guy H Hoffman

Guy H. Hoffman, 80, of Catawissa passed away Thursday September 9, 2021 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. He was born May 20, 1941 at home in Catawissa, a son of the late R.A. and Alma E. (Levan) Hoffman.

He graduated from Catawissa High School in 1959 and then attended Bloomsburg State Teachers College and graduated in 1964. Upon graduation from College he enlisted in the United States Army in 1964 and served in the 513th Intelligence Corp Group in West Germany. He attained the rank of Sergeant and was Honorably discharged in 1967. From 1967 until his retirement in 1994 he as a Social Studies teacher in Baltimore, Maryland.

Guy is survived by his sister Arlene A. Hoffman of Catawissa, nephew Ray E. Hoffman Jr. and wife Jane of Rupert, and best friend David Cleaver and wife JoAnne of Bloomsburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents as well as his brother Ray E. Hoffman.

At Mr. Hoffman’s request there will be no viewing or services. He will be placed in the family burial plot at Hillside Cemetery in Catawissa.
