Hazel Irene (Hartman) Fleming

Hazel Irene Fleming 96, of Catawissa passed away Tuesday May 19, 2015 at Emmanuel Nursing Home, Danville. She was born February 27, 1919 in Catawissa, the daughter of the late Samuel and Augusta (Schacht) Hartman.

She graduated from Catawissa High School and worked at Emmenee shirt factory. She also worked at Fleming Antiques. Hazel enjoyed reading, walking, doctoring, and needle point. She especially enjoyed spending time with family.

Hazel is survived by three children: Sandy Shearer and husband Robert of Carlisle, Pa, Mick J. Fleming and wife Susan of Elysburg, and Jeff P. Fleming and wife Connie of Catawissa. As well as a son-in-law Edwin Hartman of Benton, 13 grandchildren: Lois, Scott, Todd, Sandy, Michael, Craig, Betsy, Aaron, Karen, Ginger, Lisa, Kelly, and Jeffrey, and 9 great-grandchildren. Also, a sister Doris Linn and husband Ben of Lebanon, Pa and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Wilbur P. Fleming who passed away in 1967, and a daughter Sally Hartman. As well as two sisters Ruth Bowes and Winifred Whalen.

Services will be at convenience of the family. Burial will be at Hillside Cemetery. Family and friends may send online condolences to allenrhornefuneralhome.com. Allen R. Horne Funeral Home, 193 McIntyre Road Catawissa is handling arrangements.
