Helen V. Faux of Danville, passed away Monday, Sept. 19, 2022, at ProMedica SNF, Sunbury.
Born in Nescopeck, on May 23, 1925, she was the daughter of the late John A. and Esther (Steffy) Pehowic.
She spent almost all of her lifetime in Danville, where she had attended school. She was last employed in the housekeeping department at Geisinger Medical Center. She also was employed at Roselyn Yarns, Westinghouse, and Raytheon in her earlier years. She was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Church in Danville. She enjoyed crocheting, word puzzles, and, most of all, bingo.
Surviving is her son, Stanley Carr, wife, Mary; and her most beloved grandchildren: John Carr, David Carr, Brenda Carr Weller, Eugene Carr, Patti Lozano, Monica Lynn and Polly Sharrow. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren: Benjamin, Maclain, Alec, Addison, Andrew, Christopher, Ashley, Paige, Ryan, Shawna and Wesley; niece, Christine Fishburn (caregiver); and other nieces and nephews.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents; and her husbands: Robert E. Carr and Cameron Faux; son, John A. Carr; brothers: Albert, Robert and Eugene; and sisters: Josephine, Elizabeth and Irene.
