Hilda Marie (Warner) Silver

Hilda Marie Silver, 92, of Catawissa passed away in her home on June 20, 2026 surrounded by family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank “Chick” Silver, to whom she had been married to for 72 years.

Hilda was an active member of the Catawissa Community throughout her life. She volunteered in little league baseball, girl scouts, the First United Methodist Church and the Berwick Senior Center. She worked for years at Letterman’s Bakery and then at Krum’s Orchard. She was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan. She loved watching her family participate in their various sports and activities.

She is survived by three children Janet McLain (Michael), Peggy Scott (Joe), and Bobby (Shelley), her grandchildren Ashley (Richard), Brittany, Zachary (Danielle), Sarah (Zach), Kaitlin (David), Michael (Erica), Mackenzie (Tony), her great-grandchildren Brayden, Bria, Harper, Nate, Haley, Max, Melanie, and Logan.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday July 3, 2026 at 11:00 am at First United Methodist Church, 228 South St., Catawissa, PA with Pastor Susan Knorr officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 am until time of service.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to the Catawissa First United Methodist Church, in the memo please put Senior Citizen Activity fund to which she was a driving force to establish.
