Isaac K. Beaver

Isaac K. Beaver, 95, of Elysburg went to be with the Lord December 2, 2015 at his son’s house surrounded by his family.

He was born May 4, 1920 in Wilberton II, a son of the late George A. and Mary Ann (Stellfox) Beaver.

Isaac attended school at Conyngham Twp. School and worked as a Mechanic at Kerris & Helfrick. He was a lifetime member of Valley Chemical Fire Co., and a lifetime member of AAA. Isaac liked working on cars and building things. Isaac was the caretaker of the Fisherdale Cemetery for over 50 years. He was a 50 year member of Fisherdale United Methodist Church which is now part of RCV United Methodist Church. He recently attended St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Numidia.

Isaac is survived by three children; Lane I. Beaver and wife Kathy, of Elysburg, George W. Beaver and wife Joyce, of Bloomsburg, and Linda L. Brown husband Ronald, of Elysburg. Also, 6 grandchildren, 7 step grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 6 step-grandchildren, and 6 step great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents as well as his wife the former Catherine Ramsey who passed away in 2006.

Services will be Monday December 7, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Allen R. Horne Funeral Home, 193 McIntyre Road, Catawissa with his Pastor Chris Dunlap officiating. Burial will follow at Elan Memorial Park. Family will receive friends Sunday December 6, 2015 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Monday December 7, 2015 from 10:00 am till time of service.
