Joan L (Gearhart) Stewart

Joan L. Stewart, 60, of Catawissa passed away Saturday December 18, 2021 at her residence with her husband by her side. She was born May 29, 1961 in Bloomsburg, a daughter of John Gearhart of Berwick and the late Edna Mae (Young) Gearhart.

She attended Berwick High School and last worked at Morris Family Restaurant in Berwick. Joan enjoyed crafts, planting flowers, gardening, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Joan is survived by her husband Michael J. Stewart, whom she married on August 27, 2001, two sons; Jay Andress wife Sara of Ithaca, NY, Jason Andress wife Jen of Bloomsburg, three grandchildren; Logan, Riley, and Jaxon Andress.

Joan was preceded in death by her mother, sister Maryann Plish, and stepson John R. Stewart.

Services will be Wednesday December 22, 2021 at 11:00 amat the Allen R. Horne Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 193 McIntyre Road, Catawissa with Pastor Ryan Reigh officiating. Burial will follow at Derr’s Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 10:00 am until time of service.
