Joan R Vallacchi

Joan R. Vallacchi, 95, of Old Reading Road, Catawissa passed away peacefully on April 10, 2023 at her home. She was born on April 14, 1927 in Cedar Grove, NJ, a daughter of the late Carl and Helen (Skidmore) Pfizenmayer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years Joseph Vallacchi and sister Betty Lou Cully.

She graduated from Bloomfield High School in New Jersey and Trenton State College in New Jersey. Joan worked as a teacher for 33 years at Sommerville New Jersey Schools.

Joan is survived by a brother Carl “Casey” Pfizenmayer of Selinsgrove, brother-in-law, niece, nephews, and caregivers Carla and Randy Madara and their family.

Graveside services will be held Saturday April 15, 2023 at 10:00 am at Freewill Cemetery, Old Reading Road, Catawissa with Pastor Chris Dunlap officiating. Family and friends may send online condolences to allenrhornefuneralhome.com.
