John K. Billig 70, of Numidia PA, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at his residence, surrounded by his family.
He was born March 19, 1945 in Bloomsburg, a son of L. Ruth (Smith) Billig of Numidia and the late Gerald (Mike) Billig.
John graduated in 1963, from Southern Area High School. He worked for PP&L for over 35 years. John was enlisted in the Air Force from 1963-1967. He belonged to the Catawissa American Legion and the Catawissa VFW. John enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was a avid dog lover. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Numidia.
John is survived in addition to his mother, by his wife, the former Donna Weatherill, whom he married June 20, 1980, a daughter Lori L. Klinger and husband Buddy of Bloomsburg, three step sons: James Joseph Tuzzi of Bloomsburg, Brian Saracino and wife Mindy of Shavertown, and Michael Saracino and wife Amy of Harrisburg. As well as five grandchildren; Brandon and Evan Klinger, Tanner, Brayden and Kayla Saracino, and a brother Robert W. Billig of Numidia.
Services will be Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 2:00 pm from The Allen R. Horne Funeral Home, 193 McIntyre Road Catawissa, PA 17820, with Rev. Gretchen Johanson officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday from 1:00 pm till time of service at the funeral home.
