Josephine A. Sheptock, 90, of Duncannon and formerly of Elysburg, passed away December 29, 2015 at Kinkora-Pythian Home. She was born February 28, 1925 in Cleveland Township, a daughter of the late Victor and Elsie (George) Rhodes.
She attended Roaring Creek High School. Josephine was a member of Esther Furnace United Methodist Church, and worked at Knoebels and Emenee Shirt Factory. She enjoyed sewing, playing pinochle, traveling, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Josephine is survived by her son John D. Sheptock of West Lawn, PA, two grandchildren; Jennifer and Kevin Sheptock, and a sister Nancy Boardman of Harrisburg.
Josephine was preceded in death by her parents as well as two brothers; Paul and Eugene Rhodes, and a sister Dorothy Kunkel.
Services will be Tuesday January 5, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Allen R. Horne Funeral Home, 193 McIntyre Road, Catawissa with Pastor James Schambach officiating. Burial will follow at Esther Furnace Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 10:00 am till time of service. Family and friends may send online condolences to allenrhornefuneralhome.com.
