Joyce L. Bagnell, 85, of Bloomsburg, formally of Mill Grove, passed away Saturday October 3, 2015 at Geisinger-Bloomsburg Health Care Center. She was born December 28, 1929 in Bergen County, New Jersey, a daughter of the late Bernard and Margaret (Somes) Mahon.
She graduated high school in 1947, and worked for Hotel Magee as a waitress for 30 years. Joyce was very talented. She enjoyed refinishing antiques, sewing, and gardening. As well as painting, baking, and watching birds.
Joyce is survived by six children: Stephen L. Bagnell of Long Branch, New Jersey, Cynthia Raught and husband Darkon of Numidia, Colette Eskin and husband Stuart of Berwick, Bettina Bagnell Kline of Goodview, Viriginia, Brendan B. Bagnell and wife Penny of Kulpmont, and Gabrielle Bagnell of Mill Grove. As well as 11 grandchildren: Zachary, Ian, and Amy Bagnell, Heather Raught-Loskie, Ezra, Devin, and Erin Raught, Kara Hayhurst, Nathan Eskin, Jaclyn Strausser, Wesley Bulla, and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Stephen J. Bagnell, a brother Bernard Mahon, and a sister Eleanor Peiper.
