Judith L. Maurer, 74, of Catawissa passed away Thursday January 11, 2018 at her residence. She was born October 10, 1943 in Bloomsburg, the daughter of the late James L. and Ethel (Hess) Savage.
As a graduate of Catawissa High School she was later employed by The Department of Treasury in Harrisburg, Milco Industries, Comfort Keepers, and Impact Systems. Also she was co-owner in her families business, Catawissa News, she and her late husband Allen worked at for over 25 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen R. Maurer, who passed away June 19, 1991.
Judith is survived by her daughter Melissa Maurer of Catawissa, whom she shared a love of music.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday January 17, 2017 at noon at Wesley United Methodist Church, 401 Broad St, Nescopeck, PA 18635, Pastor Susan Knorr officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
