Kevin M. Tyson

Kevin M. Tyson, a patient and faithful husband, father, papa, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at 69 years of age after a long term illness on November 10, 2024.
He spent his life teaching hundreds of children throughout his 30 year teaching career at Bloomsburg Christian School. When he wasn’t teaching, he spent his time traveling around the world for mission projects, volunteering locally at CEF day camps, taking his family on vacation across the US and Canada, and serving at Calvary Baptist church. He loved spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, and kayaking.
He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 47 years LuAnn, three children, Susan and her spouse Adam, Jill (Julie) and her spouse Craig, Steven and his spouse Devon, four grandchildren Eli, Isaac, Rosalie, and Landon, and three siblings Marlene and her spouse Tim, Donald and his spouse Lenna, and Barb and her spouse Scott, and niece and nephews Nicole, Adam, and Joel.
He is preceded in death by his parents Miles and Lois and niece Ashley.
Viewing will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, (3300 Ridge Rd, Bloomsburg, PA 17815) on Friday, November 15, 2024 from 5-7pm and Saturday from 1-2pm. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm.
