Lawrence E. Kile, 88, of Danville passed away September 24, 2015 at Grandview Health Home. He was born May 25, 1927 in Bloomsburg, a son of the late Harry and Hattie (Faux) Kile.
He attended Bloomsburg High School. Lawrence served in World War II in the Army. Lawrence owned Red’s Esso on Route 11 in Bloomsburg, owned Twin Hill restaurant, owned car lots, and was landlord all in Bloomsburg. He also worked at RR Donnelley for over 10 years. Lawrence’s favorite thing was owning his farm in Bloomsburg and going golfing. He was a member of the Bloomsburg Elks and the Bloomsburg Moose. He lived in Florida for over 20 years after his wife passed away and enjoyed his retirement.
He is survived by two daughters; Sandy Barnes and husband William of Bloomsburg, and Susan Hoffman and husband Wade of Danville. As well as two grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and a sister Darlene Kreamer and husband Eugene of Bloomsburg.
Lawrence was preceded in death by his wife Florence Harner, whom he was married to for 45 years, and five siblings.
