Leslie Roy Wetzel

Leslie Roy Wetzel, 59, of Elysburg, Pa passed away Thursday, July 7, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born January 5, 1957 in Reading, Pa, a son of Hazel Marie (Klinger) Wetzel of Reading and the late Roy Elwood Wetzel.

Les graduated from Exeter High School and received his baccalaureate degree from Albright College and his master degrees from Kutztown University and Alvernia University. He enjoyed playing golf, pinball and spending time with his grandchildren.  He was employed at Geisinger Medical Center as a Senior Computer Analyst.

Les, in addition to his mother, is survived by his wife Heidi Roadarmel and his two daughters Renae and her husband Weston Duke of Rhinehold and Sarah Wetzel of Reading also a son Josh Wetzel of Wellington, Ohio and three step-children Brittany and her husband Robert Webb of Lancaster, Chandler Yeager and his wife Destiny and Royce Yeager both of Elysburg and five grandchildren Nadine Duke, Ivan Duke, Luke Webb, Cael Webb and Ayaa Ghouneimy.  Also a brother Larry Wetzel and his wife Susan of Hingham, Mass and a sister Lynda and her husband Gary Mensch of Reading and two nieces and two nephews.

Service will be at Monday, July 11, 2016 at 10:00 am at Elysburg Alliance Church 113 Alpha Ave. Elysburg, Pa 17824, with Pastor Andrew Knisely officiating.  Burial will be at Forest Hills Memorial Park 390 W. Neversink Rd., Reading, Pa 19606.  The family will receive friends today from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Allen R. Horne Funeral Home and Cremation Services and Monday from 9:00 am until the time of service at the church.  Friends unable to attend may send condolences at allenrhornefuneralhome.com.
