Lorine Inez Hoover Mitchell, 91, of Catawissa passed away Monday November 30, 2015 at her residence. She was born January 7, 1924 in Doehill, VA a daughter of the late Albert and Annie (Propst) Hoover.
She enjoyed gardening and reading. She also liked making quilts, reading books, and going to the senior citizen center.
Lorine is survived by her children; Leila Snell, Frances Cox, Martha Hamrick, Stanley Mitchell, Timmy Mitchell and wife Betty all of Staunton, VA, Glenna Shoup and husband Irving of PA, Ronnie Mitchell and wife Nellie of Churchville, VA, Danny Mitchell, and Wesley Mitchell and wife Robin all of Luray, VA. Also a sister Bertie Moran of Staunton, VA, 22 grandchildren, a number of great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Lorine was preceded in death by her parents as well as her husband Wesley B. Mitchell Sr., a brother Delbert Hoover and a sister Martha Simmons.
