Mabel E. ( Runge ) Longenberger 92, went to be with her Lord on January 13, 2021, a resident of Emmanuel Nursing Center, Danville, PA. She formerly lived at 110 Middle Road, Catawissa.
She was born the daughter of Wilbur and Laura Billhime, Turbotville, and adopted at age 7 by William and Edith Runge.
She was married to William C. Longenberger on November 18, 1950, for 38 years until his death on October 12, 1989. Mabel worked for sewing factories in Catawissa, and lastly at Bloomsburg Carpet until her retirement. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Numidia. Mabel always had a sweet and loving disposition. She and her husband loved traveling to see country music shows. She was an excellent cook and baker, and also enjoyed her vegetable garden, canning and freezing the fruits of her labors. Her greatest joy though, was spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by brothers LaRue, Ralph, Donald, John, Earl, and Martin Billhime, Franklin Pressler, and sister Fannie Shultz.
Survivors include two daughters Maretta Rosenbaum Haines City, FL and Vera Stellfox Catawissa, PA, four grandchildren. Bruce Rosenbaum, Jr. ( Kim ), Catawissa, Dr. Lorraine Heller ( Rodney ) SC, Amanda Stellfox ( Aliyah ) , Lancaster, Adam Stellfox ( Julie ), Montoursville. Seven great grandchildren, Brent Rosenbaum, Raevin Rosenbaum, Brittany Heller, Rodney Heller I, Jessica Long, Lorelai Stellfox, and Maisie Stellfox. Four great great grandchildren. Sisters Ruth Hayhurst, Muncy, and Theresa Conrad, Williamsport.
Due to Covid, private services will be held at a later date, at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Kulp Cemetery, Catawissa.
