Marjorie J. Yocum, 91, of Catawissa passed away Friday April 20, 2018 at Geisinger Bloomsburg Hospital. She was born March 14, 1927 in Centralia, a daughter of the late Walter and Miriam (Rider) Kimmel.
She graduated from Catawissa High School and then worked as a seamstress. Marjorie was a member of the Catawissa Senior Center, she enjoyed playing bingo, gardening, and volunteering whenever she could. Most of all Marjorie enjoyed spending time going to events of her family members. Everyone of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were very precious to her.
Marjorie is survived by two daughters; Darlene Jean Zimmerman and husband Gary, Melody Kaye Kremser, all of Catawissa, eight grandchildren; Jeremy Zimmerman, Amanda Gearhart, Toby Kremser, Amy Yemzow, Justin Learn, Jered Learn, Joshua Snyder, and Heidi Michael, and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert G. Yocum who passed away March 4, 2007, two daughters Linda M. Learn who passed away May 1, 2017, and Debbie A. Snyder who passed away December 14, 2000, and two sisters Lorraine Widger and Neita Kimmel.
Services will be Wednesday April 25, 2018 at 11:00 am at Roaring Creek Valley United Methodist Church, 6 Orchard Dr., Catawissa her Pastor Adam Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Esther Furnace Cemetery. Family will receive friends April 24, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the Allen R. Horne Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 193 McIntyre Road, Catawissa, and April 25, 2018 from 10:00 am until time of service at the church.
