Marqueen (Queenie) M. Stout, 74, of Catawissa passed away with her family by her side on Sunday November 6, 2016 at her residence. She was born March 24, 1942 in Catawissa, a daughter of the late Kenneth and Ruth (Bittner) Levan.
She attended Catawissa High School and was a member of Good Methodist Church, Bloomsburg. Marqueen enjoyed playing bingo, cards, search-a-words, hunting, fishing, camping, and sitting with her friends chit-chatting. She bartended for many years.
Marqueen is survived by six children: Ruthann Carl and husband Danny of Shickshinny, Robin Pursel and companion Fred Weaver of Bloomsburg, Annette Shoemaker and husband Bernard of Bloomsburg, Jimmy Mertz and wife Charlene of Berwick, Scott Mertz and wife Charity of Berwick, and Theresa Latin and husband John of Bloomsburg. As well as twelve grandchildren; Jonathan Hunsinger, April Masker, Jeremy Pursel, Samuel Evans, Bradley Mertz, Brooke Mertz, Jordyn Mertz, Jerika Mertz, Avary Mertz, Cali Mertz, Trinity Levine, and Keona Levine, and three great-grandchildren; Alysa Masker, and Hunter and Joseph Hunsinger, and several nieces and nephews.
Marqueen was preceded in death by her parents as well as her husband Charles Q. Stout who passed away October 15, 2003, two brothers; Kenneth “Buck” and Alvin Levan, and sister Joann Hutton.
Services will be Friday November 11, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Allen R. Horne Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 193 McIntyre Road, Catawissa with Pastor Mike Spagnuolo officiating. Burial will follow at Elan Memorial Park. Family will receive friends from 10:00 am until time of service.
