Michael S. Conrad, known affectionately as Mike, passed away on April 14, 2026, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. Born on July 6, 1965, in Berwick, he lived a life marked by devotion to his family, steady hard work, and the simple joys that brought him happiness. He is the son of Joanne M. (Dendler) Conrad of Berwick and the late Archie E. Conrad.
Mike graduated from Columbia Montour Vocational School. He was a dependable worker and took pride in the jobs he held over the years. He spent 17 years at Weis Potato Chips and later served as a maintenance technician at Mrs. T’s Pierogies for 24 years. In both places, he was respected for his work ethic, practical skills, and willingness to help wherever he was needed. He was the kind of man who could be counted on to get the job done, and he did so with quiet dedication and consistency.
Family was at the center of Mike’s life. He married the former Jacqueline Lewis in December 1985, and together they built a life rooted in love, loyalty, and shared memories. He was a devoted husband and a proud father to his son, Michael Conrad, and a welcomed member of the family through his son’s wife, Laci Watts of Bloomsburg. Above all, Mike treasured his granddaughter, Parker Conrad, who was truly his pride and joy. The time he spent with her brought him immeasurable happiness, and his love for her was evident to all who knew him. His family meant everything to him, and he found great meaning in being present for the people he loved.
He is also survived by his brothers, Bryon Conrad; Jeff Conrad and his wife Donna; and Mark Conrad and his companion Candy Duda, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He loved riding his motorcycle, camping, and spending time with his granddaughter. These interests gave him opportunities to relax, enjoy the outdoors, and make memories with the people he cared about most. Whether he was on the road, around a campfire, or simply enjoying time with Parker, Mike found joy in life’s meaningful moments.
