Nola (Pursel) Crone

Nola Hilliard Crone, 90, of Catawissa, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2020 at her residences surrounded by her family. She was born June 22, 1929 in Mainville, a daughter of the late Floyd and Frances (English) Pursel.

She worked at the Bloomsburg Hospital for 28 years.  She enjoyed going for day trip car rides and making ceramics. Most of all she enjoyed working in her flower beds.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband George Hilliard, her second husband Chancey Crone, son David Hilliard, two grandchildren; Lee Hilliard and Luke Miller, two sisters; Jean LeVan, Ethel Stine, and four brothers; Wayne, Ronald, Donald Pursel and Scott Devine.

Nola is survived by a daughter Gorgeana and her husband Ray Gaugler of Elysburg, a daughter-in-law Elaine Hilliard of Bloomsburg, three grandchildren; Paul Hilliard and his wife Shannon, Daniel Gaugler and his wife Meredyth and Lisa Miller of Catawissa, six great grandchildren; Kallie, Aubrey, Addisyn, Caleb Miller and Kassidy, Karissa Hilliard, brother Dale Pursel and his wife Pat of Catawissa, and a sister Margery and her husband Jack Dawson of Espy.

Service will be Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at 11:00 am at the Allen R. Horne Funeral Home & Cremation Service 193 McIntyre Rd. Catawissa, Pa 17820 with Chaplin Mike Delp officiating.
