Norma Jean (Leiby) Kreischer

Norma Jean Kreischer 76, of Bloomsburg passed away July 5, 2015 at Geisinger Medical Center. She was born July 10, 1938 in Bloomsburg, a daughter of the late Ada Irene (Johnson) and James Victor (Vic) Leiby.

Norma graduated from Catawissa High School in 1956. She worked at Regel and Emenee Shirt Factory, Bloomsburg Veterinary Hospital, was a secretary at Bloomsburg Weight Watchers, and Danville Auto Auction. She also groomed dogs for many years. She enjoyed country music and shows especially Elvis, loved the Bloomsburg Fair, loved her grandkids and especially going to see grandchildren play sports, loved animals especially dogs, and enjoyed being with people and laughing. She belonged to the Danville Moose, Recycled Teenagers, and American Legion Bloomsburg. She was a member of the Bloomsburg Christian Church.

 She is survived by her son James Steven Kreischer and wife Liesl of Bloomsburg and two grandchildren Zakery and Lexus Kreischer of Bloomsburg.

She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her husband Gerald Raymond Kreischer who passed away January 22, 1995. They were married September 27, 1957.

Services will be Thursday July 9, 2015 at 10:00 am at the Bloomsburg Christian Church, 107 Deussen Dr., Bloomsburg with Pastor William Rudolph officiating. Burial will follow at Elan Memorial Park.
