Robert L. Campbell

Robert L. Campbell, 81, of Catawissa, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday April 2, 2019, surrounded by his family. Bob was born March 20, 1938 in Franklin Township, a son of the late Russell Charles and Amy E. (George) Campbell.

Robert was a graduate of Catawissa High School class of 1956, and then served in the United States Army. He worked as the Assistant Director of Facilities at Bloomsburg University. Bob was a life member of Bethel United Methodist Church, Elysburg Masonic Lodge, Roaring Creek Valley Rod & Gun Club, and former President of the Catawissa Redskins. He was a proud supporter of Southern Columbia Athletics. He enjoyed donating to many local organizations.

Robert is survived by three children; Bonnie Rarig of Catawissa, Randall Campbell and wife Tina of Catawissa, Victor Shultz and wife Mel of Elysburg, seven grandchildren; Ashlie, Danielle, Jason, Erin, Aaron, Jeremy, Andrew, and three great-grandchildren; Alden, Ellie, and Lacy.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents as well as his wife Beverly J. (Miller) Campbell who passed away on March 1, 2019, son Rodney Campbell who passed away on December 7, 2012, and five brothers; James, Harold (Peck), Allen, Chester (Skip), and Glen Campbell.

Services will be Saturday April 6, 2019 at 2:00 pm at the Allen R. Horne Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 193 McIntyre Road, Catawissa with his pastor, Pastor Paul Kreisher officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 10:00 am until time of service at the funeral home.
