Robert Scott Lee Erdman, 79, of Northumberland passed away December 16, 2018 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. He was born November 5, 1939 in Bloomsburg, a son of the late Robert Keller and Madeline Grace (Eck) Erdman.
He graduated from Catawissa High School and then joined the United States Air Force. He worked as a salesman for Goodyear Commercial Truck Tires in Harrisburg. He was a member of Northumberland Legion Post 44, and lifetime member of; Point Township Fire Company, Norry Gun Club, and NRA. Robert enjoyed fishing, tying fly’s for fishing, hunting, going to drag races, and going to NASCAR races. He loved his remote control airplanes and his pets.
Scott is survived by his wife the former Carol Rarig, with whom he married December 8, 1962 and celebrated 56 years of marriage, son Dennis L. Erdman and partner Kim Jordan of Northumberland, three grandchildren; Michael Jr., Kyle, and Samantha Erdman, three great-grandchildren; Kylee, Mason, and Carter Stahl, and half-brother Norman Teitsworth.
He was preceded in death by his parents as well as his son Michael Scott Erdman Sr. who passed away in 1995, and half-brother Dick Houser.
Services will be Friday December 21, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Allen R. Horne Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 193 McIntyre Road, Catawissa with Pastor Chris Dunlap officiating. Burial will follow at Numidia Valley Bible Fellowship Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 10:00 am until time of service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Scott’s member to the Military Share Program at American Legion Post 44, 309 Point Township Drive, Northumberland, PA 17857.
